In the morning, we went to Wairaka Abundant Life Church, in which we worshiped with the community and received a great message...twice...in two languages. Joanna held 2 babies of course. We sat for 3 hours, but it was really cool to see how another culture worships God.

For lunch we threw it back to an Aussie classic, bit of an avo smash with Juliette’s twist. We also heard two fellow students’ life stories with lunch and shared prayers and cuddles. While waiting for the bus we filled in the time with bananagrams where Joel is now banned from playing as he continually smashes us all.

Arriving at the fanciest yacht (sailing) club in town with Sherrin in hand, we took a seat beside the beautiful lake Victoria for a plate of gourmet wedges.

After feasting our hungry hearts on some Western delicacies, we ventured down a questionable path and boarded a long wooden canoe type concoction. We all cautiously entered the canoe making sure we were evenly balanced so we didn’t go overboard. Our tour guide took us along ‘Lake Victoria’ to begin, despite Joel being certain we were immediately cruising the Nile. The scenery was amazing and we all got plenty of photos.

We went out for dinner to Yellow Chilly, an Indian restaurant for a quality feed. One of the girls who grew up at the Village of Hope now works there, so that was special. The boys discovered the water pistols in the toilets and decided to put them to good use. This was followed by a most pleasant bus ride home with some world class vocals to go with.

We are now here in the serenity of the beautiful African night sky on top of the roof writing this blog. Everyone has contributed a sentence to this insightful blog

Love,
