We worked it out; 33 hours of travel from door to door! After leaving One Hope, where we had our Launch Day, we spent many hours in buses, planes and airports. Between different movies, mixed amounts of sleep, and grabbing food at the airport, we eventually found ourselves in Uganda.

In a pleasant surprise, it was nice and cool, as we loaded up the bus, had a delicious banana and guessed our time of arrival. In the end, it took just over 4 hours to get to Suubi House, which was pretty exhausting. However it was a good introduction to Uganda, as we were able to see the countryside, pass through different shopping districts and panic in the chaotic traffic.

Getting to Suubi House, we were welcomed by Juliet and her team, who had prepared a lovely spaghetti bolognaise, complete with fresh pineapple. After having our fill, it was well and truly bedtime. A long travel journey, but there is plenty of anticipation and excitement for the days ahead.
