The morning as always began with an exquisite variation of our traditional breakfast including: rice, spam and bread. After a moving devotion from Emily about the power of belief, and the consequences and opportunities potentially missed through not believing in the power of Christ, we all ran up to our rooms to prepare for a sun/fun filled day of island hopping..
Boarding our private boat, with beats pumping, we set off from shore with Pastor Earl and Pastor Victor. To say the least, it was a pretty special experience to share such memories with a such a fantastic group of friends.
Soon enough we had arrived at our first reef. With a quick lesson on how to snorkel, and after layering ourselves in sun-screen, we all plunged into the warm waters of Cebu. Seeing and discovering curious critters, whilst swallowing the ocean was certainly an experience, but something that we will all remember.
Travelling to 3 other locations we were spoilt for choice in a picturesque setting. The journey was full of many laughs, smiles and memories that I am sure we will all remember.
Travelling back to Mactan Island we visited the Mactan Shrine where the battle between the Spaniards and Muslims took place in the year 1521. After buying many souvenirs, it was off to dinner and an early night for some much needed sleep.
