We started the day with a visit to the local preschool. Again, the games of hokey-pokey and ring-a-ring-a-rosie were a favourite with the kids who played with enthusiasm and laughter all round. The stickers were less popular than the last time, but the bubbles were still a hit! After acting out the classic Bible story of David (played by yours truly) and Goliath (acted very convincingly by Pete), we sung a couple of songs which the kids picked up with ease.
Tuk Tuks brought us to lunch at Arunras for the third time in three days; the waiters probably recognise us by now! Aloe vera juice and cheeseburgers were the most popular orders of the day, unsurprisingly as they were yum! A short visit to the Kampong Thom Markets before a very, very long and walk back to the hotel in the scorching sun, carrying about 50L worth of bottled water amongst us, tired us out.

After chilling at the hotel for a few hours, we headed off to the church where we split off into two teams to teach English to different classes. The other group taught the younger children the letters A through to E while our group spent our time teaching body parts to the kids who were aged between 10 and 15. After mockingly laughing at me for my diagram of a human (which to be fair was pretty bad), telling them that they had to draw one too wiped the cheeky smirks right off their faces. Who's laughing now?!

Dinner was at the group fave, Love Cafe, tucked away right near the church. Their quesadillas and homemade cookies n' cream ice cream are killer! We will definitely be back soon to try the other flavours.

Ending the night with two games of Mafia was the ultimate debrief, and with both games won by the Mafia, we went to sleep feeling tired but also very excited for tomorrow.

Until next time!
Sarah
