Yesterday, we all had a really fun day snorkelling together at the Boardwalk Fishing Sanctuary. We spent half of the time dodging sea urchins, jelly fish and water snakes and the other, admiring the amazing fish and coral. We saw lots of starfish, rainbow and neon fish, as well as many more.
That night we went to the youth service at the Church of God where we had a movie night and Katie shared her testimony with everyone! After, we all split into groups with the kids and talked about the message shared. We discussed what it’s like to be like Jesus as well as the times we have experienced God’s grace in our lives, but as most times, ended in us handing over our Facebook names. After a long day we were all ready for a good night’s sleep.
Today, we took the ferry across from Olango to The Church of God in Consolacion on the main island of Cebu. Here, we teamed up with some leaders of the church and did a round of house visits. We prayed for and talked to locals whilst we encouraged them in their walk with God.
After we returned, we were provided with lunch and then headed home in our very hot multi-cab. On the way back, we were able to stop at a mall and, to our delight, were able to get some internet and contact you all!
We got home at about 6pm, ate dinner at the hotel and played a number of competitive games of bananagrams. Joel would like you all to know that he has currently been undefeated for about 15 rounds + ….. We are now wrapping up for the night and we are ready for a full day tomorrow!
