Today we finished our journey to Olango Island with a 4 hour plane trip from Singapore to Cebu, where Pastor Victor picked us up and drove us to the pier where we boarded a rickety plank to a ferry that took us to Olango Island.
Here, Edwin picked us up in a multicab (a little ute with two benches in the trailer for sitting) and we enjoyed a somewhat bumpy, somewhat squished ride to Talima Resort with the resounding noise of old-school Hillsong from the motorbike towing our luggage.
Talima Resort is beautiful! The girls enjoyed a swim and a warm shower (even if the lights did flicker and struggle a little…) before some yummy Filipino dinner. With very satisfied tummies we jumped back in the multicab and made the short journey to Church of God Olango for a big welcome and orientation from Pastor Victor. We also took the opportunity to expand our vocabulary with the help of the youth at the church.
Salamat for reading, goodnight!
