Dear faithful followers,
Today we started with an early 3am wake up, followed by a near three hour bus ride to Entebbe Airport. Once we arrived at Nairobi, Kenya we headed to Sweetwater Lodge to begin our safari for the next 3 days.
An intriguing event happened as we entered the gates as we watched a human being nearly get eaten alive by a rhino and shortly after the exciting arrival we made ourselves feel at home in the tent like houses.
See ya soon chickens,

In addition to the rhino we saw right upon our entrance to Ol Pejeta Conservancy, we also had a couple rhinos greet us as we arrived at Sweetwater! The Lodge is right at the local watering hole, and we were soon joined by a family of elephants! Many missed them as they had already headed to their rooms, but lucky they rejoined us as we were eating dinner. Thankfully, the windows also act as doors and so we were able to quickly head out and get some photos! And to think we haven't even gone on our first game drive yet (6:30am tomorrow!)!! It's exciting to be here and looking forward to getting into our debrief tomorrow!
