Started today with another 7:30 breakfast! Where I was late to, of course, munching on baguettes full of butter. After we hopped in the classic van and headed to a dreaded church service (jokes we love church) but I can tell you the girls and myself are missing some good worship and a sermon we understand.
We were greeted with hugs and kisses yet again by the little kids and teens. Sitting down to prepare for a 2 hour church service in Khmer. Sokhon, the lead pastor is known for his lovely long sermons so Harriett S decided to start placing bets on how long it would go for. Isaac was worst off with 39 minutes and 34 seconds where as I came closest with 1hr 12 minutes and 43 seconds. After the heated service (literally) we hopped into the van and went for lunch at one of our favourite restaurants ‘third place coffee’.
Amazingly, Emily said we had the afternoon off so we all decided to hit up the Kampong Thom market one last time. On this trip to the market we were lucky enough to find matching 'channel' branded slides and matching Cambodian Pjs! We raced home and chucked them on to match! 2 hours later, there’s 10 (not Isaac) of us walking down the streets of Kampong Thom, which was very normal for the locals. Personally I felt like I fit in better with the locals. We ate up and went home for a juicy game of Mafia. The game that has taken up our nights for the past week. We are staying safe and taking care of each other! Yours truely
