After the usual breakfast of bread and Jam we went back to work on the children's home. After one day of work already, we knew what had to be done and we kicked straight into action!
Some continued laying bricks on our foundations while others began carting bricks from the front of the property down to the back where the kitchen was being built.
I could not even estimate the amount of laps we all did up and back carrying bricks but our blistering hands would give you an idea. Through the heat and sweat we battled on continuing to go round and round like a mouse in a wheel. However we were making slightly more progress.
After yesterdays chicken lunch from the backyard, Samuel then told one of the younger boys to grab one of the ducks for our lunch. However after seeing some of the trauma that appeared in some of the girls eyes he kept the duck for their dinner and cooked us up some fish to save the emotional stress and psychological healing that would have to be done if we had eaten one of our duck friends.
After lunch we continued on with the human conveyor belt while the brick walls were almost complete.
After arriving back to the hotel after a big day of work and a delicious dinner we split up into ladies and gentlemen. The ladies did lady things while the men secretly went off to get a massage to get our bodies back into shape for the next few days work.
