Another classic breakky of rice, eggs, spam and sweet bread for the team before piling into the bus to head to the CCOSCC youth prison.
It was a long drive through traffic, but we enjoyed cheering Pastor Earl and the bus to success up the steep hill which we failed to get up in our previous prison visit, thankfully avoiding another long walk up the hill.
Our gift bags went to the prison officials to be handed out to residents on good behaviour and we had a quick intro with a prison guard about the number of residents and their histories.
We moved to the basketball court to introduce ourselves and sing a few songs before Brayden shared an incredible message and testimony while Earl translated. Earl shared his own message and testimony before official proceedings were finished off with a few residents singing us some solo numbers before we moved onto socializing and playing a competitive, yet sweaty, game of basketball; Australians vs Filipinos. We put up a valiant effort but were ultimately defeated due to basically just being completely outclassed in skill.
We fit in a quick lunch before splitting up for secret girls arvo (involving ice-cream) and secret guys arvo (involving the World of Fun arcade). Some quality chats were had over pizza for dinner, preceding a hilarious games night of George of the Jungle Speed and other card games. Ready to jump into another day of life in the Philippines tomorrow!
