Well, our three weeks has come to an end, and what an amazing journey it has been. Many of our students signed up in the early part of this year, and our team has been busy preparing for much of it. Throughout our team meetings, one-on-ones and general preparation, we have been so impressed with all our students. They have been eager to learn, get involved and have fun, as well as getting along so well.
Our last day in Cambodia! Where did the time go!
Today was spent getting nails done, doing some last minute shopping, eating lots of food and relaxing by the pool. Honestly what more could you want!
Today was probably one of the highlights of the trip for many of us. Not only was it our day to unleash our inner tourist but the day only got better with lots laughter and singing.
Today was our first buffet at Silk D’Angkor Boutique Hotel, faced with a large spread complete with waffles and doughnuts there was a lot more sugar than our previous arrangements, but there was still a multitude of warm more traditional breakfast food including rice and soup.
Our last full day in the Philippines has been a big one and by the time we got back to the hotel, it was quite late. No one really felt like writing the blog, but so we wrote it together, passing the phone around the table, writing one sentence each. So here is the report from the day, written under the influence of delirious silliness and accumulated weariness!
Yesterday we had our last morning at YWAM. We kicked the morning off with devotions and then spent some time as a group sharing what we’ve seen in each other over the trip.
After a slightly later breakfast due to some confusion with the hotel we finished packing our bags to leave the hotel we had called home for almost two weeks.
Today was our last final day at the YWAM base in Cebu and boy was it a big one. We started off with a relaxed morning, sharing the delight of Vegemite (the RIGHT way) with our German friend Mona, devotions and a bit of rest and recovering from a big night last night at the graduation! Arrival of clean laundry also made for many happy team members.
What was our Monday like? For those of you waiting with bated breath for this slightly delayed blog post, let me fill you in…
Today we visited the Children's Home. After being enthusiastically greeted by the children and seeing the path finished, we were invited to hear their testimonies. Despite spending nearly every day together, we did not know their stories.
