What a crazy adventure that was! 3 weeks ago, we gathered for our Launch Day, meeting 11 interstate students for the first time, and heading off for our trips to Cambodia, the Philippines & Uganda. And here we are, on the other side, and what a ride it has been. What more can we say, but that we are super proud of each of our 38 students for the way they have engaged with all that we did, the way they connected with each other and celebrated well. It really is super inspiring to be around young people who are willing to do something different from the world around them!

We kicked it off with a big breakfast meal
The whole squad was there, 'twas a huge deal. The last day huh? Let’s make it lit! Today is gonna be our biggest hit. Our first full day of relaxation began with a much needed and well deserved sleep in, followed by a scrumptious breakfast...the all anticipated BUFFET!!!!! Omelettes, pancakes, cereal, hash browns and bacon were all very happily eaten by our team.
Today we had our last YWAM breakfast and cleaned up our rooms to prepare for our departure. Before leaving there were many hugs and pats given out and gifts were exchanged.
This morning we woke to what felt like was the beginning of the end. Not only was it the end of our time at YWAM Cebu but it was also the end of our time with the beautiful staff and DTS students and the end of our ministry work.
Pumped for our tropical farm expedition, we once more slotted into the vehicles, packed together like sardines. On the way we stopped at the closest place to heaven on earth, Julie’s Bakery. No word of an exaggeration, you can buy any six succulent sweet buns for one Australian dollar!! My mouth will forever water just thinking about it.
After a long week of serving within the community our team had an exploration day at the beautiful Kawasan Falls.
Today we took a trip to the local beach however swimming was not on our minds. The area we visited consisted of a small village and a lot of rubbish.
