This was our first full day at YWAM. In the morning we had 3 in the kitchen helping cut up food for lunch and dinner while everyone else was outside churning up dirt so they could put a ash/rice mix into it to help breakdown the clay so that plants can be grown. This was tiring work but everyone did such an awesome effort.

One student had a trip to hospital to have a rolled ankle checked (all okay in the end, just bruising) and one recovering from food poisoning was planning the English classes for the days to come when the crew go into the classroom.
After lunch the chores continued as new buildings need to be cleaned and furnished and odd jobs around the yard need to be finished. After a full day of work everyone was exhausted and couldn’t wait for bed but went to bed feeling accomplished.
